Foreclosures are Dwindling in East County San Diego, Find Your New Home!Category: Real Estate | Permalink Published: Friday, October 16, 2009 Did you know that as of June 1st 2009, El Cajon initiated a new program that is aimed to help homeowners avoid foreclosure? This new program is called the Homeownership Foreclosure Program or HFP. This new program provides low and moderate-income homeowners with new alternatives to help minimize the amount of foreclosures, preserve ownership and even promote personal investment. This could possibly help prevent the community's continuing drop in property values from current foreclosure activity while possibly preserving and increasing affordable housing opportunities. Hopefully this will also give severely strained public and social services a chance to stabilize on top of giving the city a chance of improving its overall conditions in its neighborhoods. With this new program, the amount of El Cajon foreclosures is sure to begin to dwindle. As a potential buyer it is clear that there is no time like now to invest in one of the few remaining foreclosures in El Cajon before this new program has had a drastic effect its market!
