How a Tiny and Contained Fire Can Damage an Entire BuildingCategory: Recent Articles | Permalink Published: Wednesday, October 28, 2009 Recently in the downtown area of San Diego, a series of condominiums were damaged by water after a fire broke out and sprinklers had extinguished it. The fire itself is believed to have been caused by a faulty electrical wiring of a sixth floor condominium. Unfortunately two to four of these condominiums suffered heavy fire and water damage. The remaining condominiums however, were damaged by the water spraying down from the overhead sprinklers. Fortunately no one was hurt in the midst of all of this mess and all of the residents of the 11-story condominium building had shelter that was provided to them by the Red Cross. Many of these residents have had valuable and irreplaceable items damaged and perhaps even lost in this event. For these residents getting their home back in order by having to repair or replace many of their items is most likely going to be a very long and strenuous ordeal.
